Erin Haberman

Haberman-ErinHaberman is currently a Director of Community Relations for Travelers and a Program Officer for the Travelers Foundation. In this role she is responsible for the company’s charitable giving in Connecticut, which in 2013 was more than $7 million. Travelers — which has provides more than $1 million annually to Hartford Public Schools (HPS) and initiatives that support HPS school improvement plans — is deeply involved in the formation of the Hartford Promise, committing $2 million to the program which will launch next school year.

Previously, Haberman was the Director, Public Policy Initiatives, for the Travelers Institute, the public policy division of Travelers. In this role, she was responsible for all aspects of the development, promotion, and implementation of Travelers Institute initiatives, which include small business advocacy, disaster preparedness, and consumer insurance education. Prior to joining Travelers, she worked as an account executive at Teak Media Communications in Boston where she conducted public relations for numerous accounts, including Brandeis University and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Haberman holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Trinity College and serves on the Industry Advisory Board of Pathways Academy of Technology and Design, a Hartford Public High School.
