Ifill-Haney — now a senior at New Haven Academy — has been a star both inside and outside of the classroom, which culminated with Albertus Magnus College honoring him as one of New Haven’s top 50 high school juniors last spring.

Ifill-Haney is a board member of Teach Our Children / Youth UnleashED, a grassroots advocacy organization committed to providing opportunities for New Haven parents and students to develop into strong and informed community leaders.

Among his additional accomplishments include serving as a Fellow for the International Arts & Ideas Festival, an Elm Scholar Apprentice with the Elm Shakespeare Company and an aspiring journalist with the Coop Center for Creativity. He has also spoken before the Connecticut State Appropriations Committee on remediation.
