The Executive Director of New Haven Works, Reynolds came well equipped to oversee the effort to create a pipeline for unemployed and underemployed New Haveners to find suitable employment in the City. As an organizer for UNITE HERE since 2007, she has collaborated with labor and institutional leaders in Toronto, Vancouver, Philadelphia, and New Haven, and has negotiated agreements, represented workers, and supervised office staff.
On personal time, she has canvassed New Haven neighborhoods for local, state, and national political campaigns, work that has given her extensive experience on the ground in our community. Reynolds holds an M.A. and M.Phil. from Yale University, where she studied women’s leadership in 20th-century social movements in the United States. She also has taught on this subject at Yale and her alma mater, Sarah Lawrence College.
