The Seattle Promise is a bold new initiative from the Seattle Central Foundation to provide a full scholarship to every student at Seattle Central College who demonstrates financial need, enrolls full time and maintains a 3.0 grade-point average. This Promise creates a path to education that is accessible, transparent, predictable and reliable and provides incentives for behaviors that increase student success. By eliminating financial need as a barrier to paying tuition, the Seattle Promise will allow low-income Seattle students of all ages to pursue a higher education.

In May more than 350 community and business leaders from across Seattle came together to celebrate and support the Seattle Promise at the 2015 Believe Gala. The event raised a record $330,000.
